Ocean Reef’s privacy and security provides a worry free world for parents. For children ages 4-10 Reef Club Kids program offers half day and full day programs a variety of activities. The Rec Room is a teen favorite with all the electronic toys kids can enjoy with friends.
Buccaneer Island
The Club’s hub for aquatic sports activities. Get out on the lagoon or ocean in a rental watercraft. Our rental fleet includes sailboats, kayaks, windsurfers, stand-up paddleboards, and more. The Island’s saltwater swimming lagoon and sandy beach overlooking the ocean are the main attractions for families at The Reef.
Reef Club Kids
This is truly one of the best ways for children to meet other children at the Club. Offering half day and full day programs for children ages 4-10. Children are divided into different age groups, overseen by well-trained and qualified counselors to escort them to a variety of activities including fishing, sailing, kayaking, golf, tennis, games and arts and crafts. In addition, today’s Reef Club Kids program is open on Friday and Saturday nights.
Reef Rec Room
Teenagers favorite spot after Buccaneer Island- Equipped with the most impressive virtual and actual gaming centers that can be found. With a total of seven HD gaming stations and three Internet computers, not to mention a sound system that can really rock the walls, Nintendo Wii on a 7-foot, High Definition screen; two Playstation 3 gaming consules; an Xbox 360 console with more games than you can imagine; a collection of Gaming Mode TVs and more. Equipped with the most impressive virtual and actual gaming centers that can be found.
Library and Museum
The Ocean Reef Library staffed by volunteers from the community operating as a functional library, offering books for check-out and scheduled return or paperbacks on a return-when-finished basis. It also offers wireless Intenet access as well as computers for Internet access. Hours vary by season. Also at the Ocean Reef Cultural Center is the Historical Society’s Museum. The interactive museum depicts more than 60 years of Ocean Reef history, including its recreation, restaurants, institutions, traditions, community clubs and organizations, real estate and — of course — its golf carts. Admission is complimentary.
Water Activities
We truly have something for everyone, from sailing, kayaking amongst the mangroves, flyfishing on the flats, cruising on myriad watercraft, snorkeling, browsing the shops, swimming, fishing, dining and otherwise eating, strolling, sunning, arranging a boat rental or a charter, riding a bike.
Eco-Kayak Tours
One of a the most popular programs is offered to both advanced as well as beginner trips. Available on Saturday and Sunday morning, enjoy these laid-back trips that take you through the mangroves. Ages 4 and older can paddle with a parent in a double kayak.
Nature Center
At the Ocean Reef Nature Center you will enjoy hours of education fun for all ages. Open year round on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and additional hours of operation in the winter. You will find a touch tank with tropical fish, sea urchins, starfish and more.
Movie Theatre
Drive over in your golf cart or walk to our state of the art, 300-seat theater that offers first-run and recent releases three nights a week during the winter season (twice a week during the summer season).
